Lymphatic drainage massage in Pittsburgh
After surgery, with your surgeon's go-ahead.
Slow, light strokes from a licensed massage therapist trained in manual lymphatic drainage. One person, one quiet room, and a pressure lighter than you expect. Now taking new clients.

Gentle pressure, explained
Lighter than a massage, and slower
Lymphatic drainage is a different kind of touch from deep or Swedish massage.
The strokes are light, slow and rhythmic, moving the skin rather than pressing into muscle. Think of the weight of a hand resting on you. Each stroke is explained before it is made, you choose the pressure, and you can pause or stop whenever you like. We make no promises about results.
Covered by a sheet; one area uncovered at a time
Pressure checked at the start and again partway
Little or no oil, so you leave as you came

Before your first session
Start with your surgeon
After surgery, three steps come before the table.
- Step one
Ask your surgeon
At a follow-up visit, ask whether massage is fine yet, and which areas to leave alone. We cannot decide that for you.
- Step two
Book a time
Choose the after-surgery session online. Email the note ahead if you can, or bring it with you.
- Step three
Bring the note
Dorinda reads it with you before you go in, and works only where your surgeon has said yes.

Short answers
How long is a session?
Sessions run 45, 60 or 90 minutes, and the first visit starts with a short talk, so plan on a little longer than the session itself.
What does it feel like?
Lighter than most people expect: slow, stretching strokes about as heavy as a hand resting on your skin. You can ask for lighter or a little more at any moment.
What do I wear?
Whatever is comfortable, and whatever your surgeon has told you to wear. You are covered by a sheet the whole time, and only the area we are working on is uncovered.
Do I need my surgeon's go-ahead?
After surgery, yes. Bring your surgeon's note to the first visit, or email it ahead. If you do not have one yet, we will hold your time while you ask.
Can I stop?
Yes, at any time and for any reason. We stop right away.
How does pricing work?
Price is set by the length of the session and shown on the booking page before you confirm. How pricing works explains the rest.
