Questions about lymphatic massage
How long is a session?
Sessions run 45, 60 or 90 minutes, and the first visit starts with a short talk, so plan on a little longer than the session itself.
What does it feel like?
Lighter than most people expect: slow, stretching strokes about as heavy as a hand resting on your skin. You can ask for lighter or a little more at any moment.
What do I wear?
Whatever is comfortable, and whatever your surgeon has told you to wear. You are covered by a sheet the whole time, and only the area we are working on is uncovered.
Do I need my surgeon's go-ahead?
After surgery, yes. Bring your surgeon's note to the first visit, or email it ahead. If you do not have one yet, we will hold your time while you ask.
Can I stop?
Yes, at any time and for any reason. We stop right away.
Am I covered the whole time?
Yes. Only the area being worked on is uncovered, and it is covered again when we move on.
How do I set the pressure?
Before we start we ask what pressure you would like and which areas to avoid. Tell us at any time to go lighter or a little firmer.
What happens at a first visit?
A short talk and your surgeon's note, if the visit is after surgery, then the session. The first visit page walks through it in order.
How often should I come?
That is your call, with your surgeon's advice. Some people book once; others come on a regular rhythm. We can suggest one after your first visit, and we follow your surgeon's guidance.
What if I am unwell, or unsure whether to come?
Tell us and we will move your visit. If you are unsure whether massage is right for you right now, ask your surgeon or doctor first.
Should I tip?
Tipping is optional. You can add it when you pay.
How does pricing work?
Price is set by the length of the session and shown on the booking page before you confirm. How pricing works explains the rest.
